This Privacy Policy explains how Socialz ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our application at socialz.fun (the "Service"). We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.
01Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service:
- Account connection data: When you connect a social media account (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X), we receive and store OAuth access tokens that allow us to act on your behalf. These tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Usage data: Basic information about how you use the app, including actions taken (clips created, posts distributed) and any errors encountered, used solely for improving the Service.
- Video content: Video files you process are handled locally on your device. We do not upload or store your video content on our servers except transiently during an active distribution action you initiate.
- Waitlist email address: If you join our waitlist, we collect the email address you submit. See section 06 below.
02How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate and maintain your connected social media accounts
- Execute distribution actions you explicitly request (posting clips to platforms)
- Improve the reliability and performance of the Service
- Respond to support requests
- Send product updates to waitlist subscribers who have opted in
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
03Third-Party Platform Data
When you connect accounts from platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter/X, those platforms may share data with us pursuant to your authorization. We use this data only to perform the actions you request within the Service. Each platform's own privacy policy governs their data practices.
Data obtained from Google APIs (including YouTube) is used in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
04Data Storage and Security
OAuth tokens are encrypted using industry-standard encryption (Fernet symmetric encryption) and stored locally in the application data directory on your device. We do not transmit your tokens to third-party services beyond what is required to authenticate with the connected platform.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
05Data Retention
We retain your connected account tokens and settings for as long as you use the Service or until you disconnect an account. You can disconnect any account at any time within the application, which will delete the associated token from storage.
06Waitlist and Product Emails
If you submit your email address through the waitlist form on socialz.fun, we collect and store that address for one purpose: to send you occasional updates about the Service, including when it becomes available to you.
We use Buttondown as our email service provider. Your address is stored on Buttondown's systems and processed on our behalf under their privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, or share waitlist addresses with anyone else.
Joining the waitlist requires confirming your address by clicking a link we email you. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you may unsubscribe at any time. You can also request deletion of your address by contacting us at clipzcrypto@gmail.com. We retain waitlist addresses until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Joining the waitlist is entirely optional and is not required to use the Service.
07Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

08Cookies
The Socialz application does not use cookies. Our static website (socialz.fun) may use minimal, essential cookies for basic functionality only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
09Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
